The Role
As the MEP Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of Mechanical and Electrical packages, ensuring contractual compliance and protecting the commercial interests of the project. A key part of the role will involve contract administration under FIDIC and working closely with the Architect/Engineer (AE) Team to manage instructions, variations, valuations and commercial correspondence.

Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of Mechanical and Electrical works throughout the project lifecycle.
- Administer the contract in accordance with FIDIC conditions.
- Prepare, submit and negotiate applications for payment.
- Manage variations, compensation events and change control.
- Review Engineer's Instructions (EIs), Notices and contractual correspondence.
- Prepare and assess claims in accordance with the contract.
- Procure and commercially manage MEP subcontract packages.
- Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts and cash flow reports.
- Monitor project budgets and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
- Ensure contractual notices are issued within required timescales.
- Attend client, commercial and project meetings.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and supporting documentation.
- Support project close-out, final accounts and commercial handover.

Requirements
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
- Past experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor.
- Previous experience on data centre, mission critical, pharmaceutical or large industrial projects.
- Strong practical experience administering FIDIC contracts.
- Excellent understanding of MEP installations and associated commercial processes.
- Strong knowledge of variations, claims, payment applications and final accounts.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting systems.
- Able to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams.
