Are you a Quantity Surveyor with NEC4 experience looking to build your career on projects that truly matter?

With a programme of this scale, we’re growing our Capital Commercial team—and we’re looking for Quantity Surveyors to join us in our Coventry, Derby and Shrewsbury offices.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll support the commercial delivery of projects across their full lifecycle, gaining broad experience from early-stage procurement through to final account.
You’ll work under the guidance of a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager, developing your capability to manage projects independently while taking responsibility for key commercial activities.
You’ll Make An Impact By
- The commercial management of low to medium complexity projects and work packages
- Drafting and administering NEC4 contracts (Options A, C and E)
- Assessing applications for payment and maintaining commercial records
- Supporting the management of early warnings and compensation events
- Contributing to procurement strategies and tender processes
- Challenging supplier costs and forecasts with support from senior team members
- Supporting negotiations with contractors and supply chain partners
- Identifying risks and supporting their management and mitigation
- Ensuring compliance with governance, processes and contract obligations

What You’ll Bring To The Role
We’re looking for Quantity Surveyors who are keen to develop their commercial capability in a complex infrastructure environment.
Experience
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or infrastructure
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and contract administration
- Experience supporting cost management, change control, and commercial activities
Skills & Approach
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and develop in a project environment
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to challenge and problem solve with support
- Organised and able to manage competing priorities
Qualifications
- Degree qualified (or equivalent experience)
- RICS (or working towards) desirable
