Quantity Surveyor - Residential Developer

Hill McGlynn is proud to be partnering with a well-established residential developer in their search for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their team, based out of their Sittingbourne office.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute QS to join a growing developer delivering high-quality residential schemes. You'll play a key role in managing project costs and ensuring developments are delivered efficiently and within budget.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of residential developments from pre-construction through to final account. You will work closely with internal teams and subcontractors to maintain financial control across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting
- Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
- Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Supporting tendering and cost planning processes
- Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to programme
- Liaising with site teams, suppliers, and senior management
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a residential environment
- Relevant degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar
- Strong understanding of cost control and contract administration
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Experience working on flats/apartments is highly desirable
