Position: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Sittingbourne, Kent (Office-Based)
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (DOE)
Job Overview
An established principal contractor delivering high-quality, one-off construction projects is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team.
The business operates across heritage restorations, bespoke new builds, offices, care homes, and schools, delivering projects throughout Kent and Southeast London, typically ranging from £50,000 to £2 million.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project costs from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with directors, site teams, and consultants to ensure projects are delivered commercially and efficiently.

Quantity Surveyor - Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
- Background across a range of project types, ideally including refurbishment, restoration, and new build
- Strong understanding of cost management, procurement, and contract administration
- Experience working with JCT contracts
- Ability to manage projects from initial cost planning through to final accounts
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented approach
- Ideally based within commuting distance of Sittingbourne
