Your new company

I'm working with a Tier 1 Contractor delivering major projects across the utilities and infrastructure sectors. With a strong pipeline of work and long-term frameworks secured, the organisation is continuing to grow its commercial team and is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of the utilities projects.

Working within a collaborative commercial team, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and commercially successfully.

Your new role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial management of a portfolio of infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and managing applications for payment
  • Cost reporting, forecasting and CVR production
  • Subcontract procurement and account management
  • Managing variations and change control processes
  • Reviewing and administering contracts
  • Supporting compensation event and commercial change processes
  • Managing cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete reporting
  • Working closely with operational teams to maximise value and minimise risk
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting project delivery across multiple sites where required

This role requires you to be in the office 3 days per week.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Quantity Surveying experience within utilities, nuclear, aviation, environmental or M&E
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role
  • Willing to go Permanent
  • White CSCS Card or relevant professional qualification
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
  • Experience producing CVRs, forecasts and cost reports
  • Experience managing subcontractor accounts and applications for payment
  • Good understanding of NEC contracts
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
