Are you a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor looking to join a growing contractor where your work genuinely makes an impact?
We’re working exclusively with a well-established construction business that has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality residential refurbishment, extensions, conversions and permitted development schemes across London and the South East. Due to continued growth and a healthy order book, they’re looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit business where you’ll have real responsibility, work alongside experienced construction professionals, and play a key role in the successful commercial delivery of multiple projects.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Director, you’ll be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects from procurement through to final account.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
