About the Company

Our client is a well-established super prime residential main contractor delivering some of London's finest luxury refurbishment and bespoke new build projects. Renowned for exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail, they work alongside leading architects, designers and private clients to deliver prestigious homes throughout Central and Greater London.

With a strong order book and an expanding portfolio of projects, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of an ambitious Quantity Surveyor.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team, taking responsibility for the commercial management of multiple super prime residential projects across London.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of two to three projects simultaneously, with individual project values typically ranging from £2 million upwards. You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from tender stage through procurement, cost management and variations, to final accounts.

This role is ideal for someone looking to take ownership of their projects while working within a collaborative and experienced commercial team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full commercial responsibility for two to three super prime residential projects from pre-construction through to final account.
  • Prepare tender and contract documentation.
  • Manage procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate subcontract packages and place orders.
  • Prepare and submit valuations, variations and payment applications.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts and cash flow.
  • Produce accurate monthly cost reports for senior management.
  • Assess and agree subcontractor valuations and final accounts.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to ensure successful commercial delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

About You

  • Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
  • Proven experience delivering residential refurbishment or high-end construction projects.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of contracts, procurement and cost management.
  • Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Organised, proactive and able to work independently.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within the super prime or luxury residential sector.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Experience with JCT forms of contract.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial management software.
