Quantity Surveyor – Dungannon, Tyrone

Location: Dungannon area, Tyrone, Northern Ireland Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (plus great perks) Status: Immediate interviews and start date available

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a rapidly growing and supportive business in the Northern Ireland construction sector. With a huge volume of secured works projecting into the coming years, this role presents a fantastic chance to contribute to meaningful projects while enjoying clearly defined growth, safety, and constructive business processes.


About the Role

Working from the Dungannon area, or across Northern Ireland as needed, you’ll be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team. This is not your typical construction company—your work will involve rigorous, process-driven tasks, ensuring accurate pricing, stakeholder engagement, and strict adherence to project compliance.


Responsibilities

  • Cost & Financial Oversight:
    • Prepare pricing for upcoming, completed jobs, and commercial project functions.
    • Gather accurate costings from site staff, subcontractors, and IT systems for timely billing.
    • Investigate and explain pricing for variants while ensuring transparency and accuracy.
    • Report on finished works weekly and monthly, tracking progress, risks, and financial concerns.

  • Contract & Compliance Management:

    • Monitor that all project spending aligns with submitted tender prices.
    • Liaise between site staff, management/directors, and clients to maintain smooth project flow.
    • Ensure adherence to contractual costs, ISO standards, and company Health & Safety regulations.
  • Strategic Reporting & Alignment:

    • Analyze project financials and risks, delivering regular updates to site managers and senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience & Qualifications:

    • Ideally 3+ years in Quantity Surveying, with a strong focus on financial reporting and documentation management.
    • A relevant university qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction degree.
    • Driving licence with the ability to travel across Northern Ireland to site visits.
  • Skills & Attributes:

    • Excellent organisational, planning, and contract management skills.
    • Strong ability to present detailed reports, analyse data, and communicate clearly (both verbally and in writing).
    • Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
