Principal Quantum & Cryptography Sales Specialist – UK Public Sector

AWS is seeking a Principal Quantum & Cryptography Sales Specialist to champion the adoption of quantum computing, cryptography, and cybersecurity services across all tiers of the UK Public Sector—from Central Government & Defence, through to Healthcare, Transport, Education, and Non-Profits.
This is your opportunity to shape the future of secure public services—bridging cutლიing-edge threat detection and quantum-safe transformation in a critical domain. You’ll own the commercial strategy for AWS’s quantum, cryptography, and security capabilities, driving impact from classed national security agendas to NHS patient data—and everything in between.
About the Role
You’ll play a strategic, commercial, and technical leadership role at the intersection of cybersecurity, enterprise sales, and public sector transformation, responsible for:
- Ownership of high-value deals spanning central government, defence, NHS, local government, education, and civil society organizations
- Developing and executing GTM strategies for **AWS Braket (quantum computing), post-quantum TLS, CloudHSM, AWS Key Management Service (KMS), Security Hub, and GuardDuty, aligned to current cybersecurity resilience and quantum-safe future-proofing
- Partnering with public sector leaders—including CISOs, Ministers, NHS Execs, and military chiefs—to position AWS as the gold standard for sovereignty, data protection, and national security
- Full autonomy to design commercially innovative deal structures that align with public sector complexities (classified initiatives, G-Cloud frameworks, Crown Commercial Service rules, and NHS procurement)
Your ability to anticipate, advise, and drive transformative deals will make quantum threat readiness exit line—not exception—of UK public sector IT strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Leadership in a Critical Domain
- Leading high-stakes sales engagements across the entire UK Public Sector spectrum—including classified (Protected) government and critical infrastructure (NHS trusts, local authority highways, research bodies).
- Own end-to-end revenue growth for AWS quantum, cryptography, and trust services via multi-stakeholder adoption strategies.
- Identify high-impact use cases across:
- National Security ➔ Threat detection, classabel security, and quantum-resistant authentication
- NHS & Health Data ➔ Patient privacy, operational resilience, and post-quantum migration frameworks
- Defence & Transport ➔ Securing arms-grade networks for rail, road, and logistics
- Civic & Administration ➔ Citizen data trust, zero-trust architecture, and local authority cyber proliferation
- Education & Research ➔ Protecting gritrated source material and enabling quantum-ready tools

2. GTM Strategy & Market Articulation
- Create commercial frameworks that educate C-suite and mid-senior executives on cognitive fusion (e.g. implementation now + future-proof resilience).
- Differentiate AWS from proprietary competitors (e.g., sovereign crypto players), fragmented G-Cloud offerings, and emerging quantum cloud platforms.
- Spin competitive advantage into transformative deals by addressing public sector hurdles:
- Complex% underpings (Multi-Classified environments)
- G-Cloud frameworks vs. classic contracting
- NHS Shared Services and charity restraints
- CPCC task orders and COVID-era budget outcomes
3. Pipeline & Deal Execution
- Design high-conversion strategy for identifiedaccounts—utilizing internal rapidity predictive analytics, partner-maps, and technical predictions.
- Execute and drive close ratio—blending deal logic for multi-year phasing, SBUs, and identified unfavors privileges.
- Train internal teams to deliver end-to-end programs using AWS Structured Selling Approach (including AWS Security Specialists & Solutions Architects).
4. Ecosystem & Stakeholder Management
- Engage with partners (SI Salesforce, cybersecurity firms, quantum tech rippers) to accelerate Joint Intelligence & UX's market shaping.
- Collaborate with AWS Product and Tech teams to co-inject public sector requirements affect each post-quantum (e.g., immune encryption tiacz), and push vision for sovereign IT adoption frameworks.
- Leverage Amazon’s Global Sales enablement (Excellence Read Tools, 4th-l(equal demand)**reoand wafing, immages eflops).
5. Functional & Technical Collaboration
- Use deep collaboration with AWS Security Architecture, Solutions Architects, and trust centers to align technical strategies with customer needs—from high-up-vetting N3 BAFIDK tests through to DS201 ECS integration** (and alike).
- Build rapport with customers—acting as trusted "techuber consultant" to CISO divisions, heads of international cyber, and line of purpose architect.

Basic Qualifications
This role requires you to have held—and successfully applied—analytical, collaborative, and deal-focused roles in large financial pushes for the UK public Science. You:
- Experience presenting/pitching and closing across $+million deals—spaning C-suiga, procurement, finance, and legal stakeholders.
