About The Role

The role will be around designing and benchmarking new protocols for quantum error correction across a distributed quantum architecture. Successful candidates will work in a collaborative team of theorists and programmers, with support from theoretical and experimental physicists.

Responsibilities - What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing new protocols for distributed quantum error correction
  • Benchmarking protocols and designs through numerical simulations
  • Developing code as part of a team
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Representing the company externally through publications, patents, and conferences

Requirements

Your skills, qualifications and experience

Essential

  • PhD in quantum computing or related area, or equivalent industry experience
  • Track record of high-quality publications
  • Ability to work in a team and with other cross-functional teams
  • Experience with programming in Python
  • Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external partners

Desirable (nice To Have, But Not Required)

  • Research experience in quantum error correction
  • Experience with quantum programming languages such as Qiskit and Cirq
  • Experience in classical or quantum networks
