Quantum Integration Technician

On joining Cryogenic Engineering & Lab Development, you’ll work closely under the Staff Cryogenic Engineer, ensuring seamless operations across 7+ cryogenic fridges and coordinating off-site lab deployments across global locations.

<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>-
Electronics & Mechanical Assembly
Lead assembly of PCBs, mechanical components, and complex wiring (including high-quality soldering) for both laboratory use and deployment. -
Workflow Management
Transition ownership of a dedicated technical segment, maintaining clear records for:- Maintenance
- Support tasks
- Assembly requirements

Level Operations
Maintain and optimize the day-to-day running of:- Cryogenic facilities
- Vacuum systems
- Ensure all equipment complies with industry-leading standards.

Global Installations
Collaborate on paperwork, technical execution, and inspections for international lab installations and deployments. -
Supervision & Mentorship
Provide consistent guidance to junior staff, including lead apprentices, ensuring:- Proper workflow adherence
- Skill development through hands-on oversight and constructive feedback
- 3+ years’ technical experience in a lab, manufacturing, university, or industrial environment, specialising in "building and making".
- Expertise in
electronics assembly:- Hands-on experience with PCB soldering and manufacturing.
- Familiarity with mechanical and light machining.
- Proficient use of basic bench-testing equipment (multimeters, VNAs, oscilloscopes).
- Mentorship/professional training: previous experience supervising junior staff—or mentoring apprentices—in an engineering context (qualifying managers, practitioners, and educators).
- Hardware troubleshooting intuition, forward-thinking approach to client-facing or off-site technical challenges.

- Experience with cryogenic systems or high-vacuum technology.
- Background in site installation engineering.
- Formal qualifications in engineering or related disciplines (qualifications not mandatory but an asset).
<h2>Application Process</h2> 1. Library tour to inspect our facilities and workflows. 2. A **5–10-minute presentation** on a relevant project, followed by **Q&A** with the panel. 3. Group interview (involving **Lab Manager** and **Staff QI Engineer**). 4. **Soldering test** (practical assessment of fine-assembly expertise).
