An excellent opportunity for an experienced Quarry Plant Service Engineer to join a well-established company.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Salary: Competitive Salary, Depending on Experience.

Location: Hemerdon Mine, Plymouth.

About the Role:

The company have a large processing contract in the newly re-opened Hemerdon Mine, near Plympton. Hemerdon Mine produces the precious-earth metal called Tungsten.

They have an exciting opportunity for several experienced, enthusiastic and highly self-motivated Field Service Engineers to complement their established and successful team.

The company are looking for team-players, who will work to the highest standards in problem solving, fault-finding, service and repair functions on quarry crushing and screening plant.

Key Duties (but not limited too):

  • Ensure all site operational tasks are being completed under the correct Health & Safety paperwork and in a safe manner
  • Assist Site with break downs as and when they occur
  • Carry out routine maintenance to prevent downtime
  • Compile technical reports following services and breakdown
  • Liaising with other team members to agree parts requirements
  • Completing plant breakdowns and repairs in a timely manner
  • Completing all plant equipment servicing and testing
  • Assist on plant installations when required
  • Resolve on-site issues occurring during installations when required
  • Compile lists of refurbishment requirements prior to plant removal / re-installation
  • Liaise with Service team to resolve any ongoing site operational / technical issues
  • Assist in site operator awareness training to optimise plant performance

Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant Engineering qualifications
  • CSCS Safe pass (non essential)
  • Quarry pass
  • Driving license. (essential)
  • Vehicle Maintenance
  • Previous Field Service Plant Fitter/Engineer experience essential
  • Crushing and screening plant experience essential
  • Experience of servicing construction equipment essential
  • The candidate will have all the relevant qualifications and a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the mechanical engineering industry with good knowledge in hydraulics, electrics and engine
