Description
THIS IS A WORK STUDY POSITION
We are seeking hardworking and energetic students who LOVE FOOD to join our team, Lory Catering, here in the Lory Student Center! Come work alongside your peers to prepare food for all types of events in and around the heart of campus. Enjoy shift meals, a schedule based around your classes, paid professional development opportunities, and gratuities from some events.
What do Catering Servers do?
- Learn & practice safe food handling and maintain a sanitary work environment. Help monitor and document times and temperatures
- Help set up and serve many types of events including receptions, buffets, and formal sit-down meals in the LSC and around campus
- Preparation and delivery of food and beverage, tend to buffets, serve tables, bussing, and arranging table sets
- Gather supplies and equipment for upcoming events, read and interpret service orders for products and service type requested by guests
- Help clean up and organize service areas before, during, and after events - some dishwashing expected

The Preferred Candidate Will
- Be able to show up on time, ready to work and proactively seek tasks and learning opportunities
- Have the ability to take directions from and offer suggestions to the leadership team - we like your input!
- Be reliable for own shifts, and communicate regarding scheduling needs
- Have positive work ethic, and enthusiasm for food and beverage service
- Be able to provide excellent guest service; greet and communicate with clients and their guests throughout the duration of the event

Details:
- Must be a current CSU student
- Student Employees starting pay rate is $15.16 per hour
- Colorado State University may conduct background checks on final candidates.
