R2R Functional Consultant - £500/day (Inside IR35) - 5 Month Contract - Home-based - SCC Flex Contract
We are seeking an experienced R2R Functional Consultant to support a high-impact finance transformation programme focused on optimising Record-to-Report processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a R2R Functional Consultant to work remotely, partnering closely with Finance and IT teams to drive efficiency, accuracy and control across financial operations.
Your Responsibilities as the R2R Functional Consultant:
- Lead workshops with Finance and business stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
- Analyse existing Record-to-Report (R2R) processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design and implement process enhancements across the finance lifecycle.
- Produce functional specifications, process maps and detailed solution documentation.
- Collaborate with technical teams to support configuration, development and system integration.
- Support testing phases including SIT, UAT and defect management.
- Deliver user training, knowledge transfer and adoption support.
- Ensure financial processes comply with governance, risk and control frameworks.
- Support programme delivery through status reporting, RAID management and stakeholder engagement.

As a Successful R2R Functional Consultant, You Will Have:
- Proven experience as a Functional Consultant within Finance Transformation or ERP programmes.
- Strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience.
- Deep understanding of Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, including:
- General Ledger management and journal processing
- Fixed Assets and Intercompany accounting
- Accruals, prepayments and bank reconciliations
- Period-end and year-end close processes
- Financial consolidation, trial balance and reporting
- Financial controls, compliance and audit support
- Chart of Accounts governance and financial integrations
- Experience facilitating business process workshops and gathering requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management across Finance, IT and leadership teams.
- End-to-end project delivery experience in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Experience:
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O)
- SAP S/4HANA Finance, Oracle Fusion Financials or Workday Financial Management
- Power Platform and Power BI
- Financial consolidation tools and Shared Service Centre environments
- Experience within Facilities Management or Services industries
