Looking for a role where no two days are the same? Join Southend-on-Sea City Council's Customer Support Team and play a vital role in delivering high-quality administrative and customer service support across a range of services, including Adult Services, Children's Services, Public Health, HR, and Finance.

Southend-on-Sea city council are seeking a customer support administrator to join the customer support team on a full-time and permanent basis. This is a varied and rewarding role within our Customer Support Team, providing essential administrative support across a range of services, including Adult Services, Children's Services, Public Health, HR, and Finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse workload, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards. You'll work closely with colleagues across the Council, helping to ensure services run efficiently for residents, partners, and internal customers.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this post, previous experience of working in an administrative or customer support setting is essential. It is essential that you have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload in a busy environment.

We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual who can handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn, will help you thrive in this role.
