Job Description

What’s the role

The Downstream Reporting & Analysis Organization is a team of over 1,000 colleagues dedicated to providing accurate, timely, and insightful analysis to support the delivery of more and cleaner energy solutions. Within this organization, our cluster of teams manages end-to-end Group and Statutory financial reporting activities for the Americas region.

The Analyst role is responsible for ensuring that all reporting activities are performed accurately, timely, and efficiently. This includes supporting closing activities and conducting financial analysis such as validating financial data, making necessary adjustments, and providing insights to support informed business decision-making.

This position reports to the R&A FAC Senior Manager within the Finance Operations (FO) Centre. The role also partners closely with FO counterparts and business stakeholders across multiple regions to deliver accurate data to group accounting and reporting systems, as well as contribute to global metrics for R&A FAC.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support month-end closing activities, including General Ledger close, preparation of manual journals, and adjustments to final figures in the Group Reporting tool, ensuring all key deadlines for Group and internal reporting are met.
  • Perform all accounting activities accurately and within set timelines, while resolving or escalating issues as needed and ensuring compliance with controls and operational effectiveness.
  • Analyse key Balance Sheet accounts using Blackline to ensure balances are properly reconciled and adequately supported.
  • Execute local statutory reporting requirements and ensure timely submission of all deliverables.
  • Support control remediation initiatives and actively participate in statutory, internal control, and system assurance audits.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities, while promoting knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.
  • Contribute to R&A special projects and ensure timely and effective responses to ad hoc data and project requests.
  • Effectively manage and engage with FO and Non-FO stakeholders, building a strong end-to-end perspective across processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
