Location: Chester, Bangor-on-Dee
Contract: Casual / Zero Hours (flexible shifts)

We’re recruiting professional and vigilant Race Day and Event SIA Door Supervisors to support the safe and secure delivery of the 2026 race season at Chester Racecourse and Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse. Love being part of live events and the buzz of race days? We’d love you to work with us!

Chester Race Company Ltd is one of the North West’s most iconic and respected organisations. While horseracing is at the heart of our heritage, we are an evolving organisation with a broad portfolio. We proudly operate three racecourses – Chester, Bangor-on-Dee, and Musselburgh in Scotland – and our reach extends further with a hotel, a vibrant pub, and several property ventures in the city of Chester. Our in-house catering brand, Horseradish, and staffing division, Thyme People, also play a central role in our success. With such a dynamic mix of venues and services, no two days are ever the same.
General Responsibilities:
- Always deliver an excellent standard of guest experience
- Carry out searches in line with venue and security procedures
- Monitor crowd safety and behaviour
- Uphold all licensing objectives and venue policies
- Act as the first point of response to reported issues, particularly those relating to alcohol control and conflict management
- Check tickets and communicate relevant information to guests
- Direct guests to the appropriate areas of the venue
- In the event of an emergency or evacuation, follow safety procedures and guide guests to exit the venue safely

What We’re Looking For:
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor licence
- A friendly, approachable, and professional attitude
- Strong guest experience skills
- Confidence communicating in conversational English
- Desirable qualifications include Level 2 Spectator Safety and First Aid at Work
- This role requires you to be over the age of 18
Pay Rates (inclusive of holiday pay):
- 💷 £17.59 per hour
