Job Title: Race Day and Event Steward

Location: Chester, Bangor-on-Dee

Contract: Casual / Zero Hours (flexible shifts)

We’re recruiting enthusiastic Race Day and Event Stewards to join our team for the 2026 race season at Chester Racecourse and Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse. Love being part of live events and the buzz of race days? We’d love you to work with us!

General Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival
  • Check and validate tickets
  • Serve as the first point of contact for general enquiries
  • Carry out car park stewarding duties, ensuring the safe entry and exit of vehicles
  • Monitor and maintain crowd safety at all times
  • In the event of an emergency or evacuation, follow safety procedures and guide guests to exit the venue safely

  • A friendly, approachable, and professional attitude
  • Strong guest experience skills
  • Confidence communicating in conversational English
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
  • Desirable qualifications include Level 2 Spectator Safety and First Aid at Work
  • This role requires you to be over the age of 18

As a mandatory requirement of this role, you will undertake training in Level 2 Spectator Safety within 12 months of working with us.

Pay Rates (inclusive of holiday pay):

  • 💷 £14.60 per hour
  • 💷 £15.25 per hour (Level 2 Spectator Safety qualification obtained)
