Radiation Protection Advisor – Aberdeen
(a.k.a. The Calm Voice of Reason When Things Get Radioactive)
Location: Aberdeen
Salary: Competitive — aligned with your experience, expertise, and impact
Radiation safety isn’t about drama. It’s about judgement, clarity, and knowing exactly what you’re doing — especially when others don’t.
We’re looking for an experienced Radiation Protection Advisor to join our established team and help clients navigate complex compliance requirements with confidence. If you’re someone who can translate regulations into practical solutions, keep standards high, and support others along the way, you’ll feel right at home here.
☢️ What You’ll Be Doing (And Why It Matters)

You’ll:
- Provide clear, practical radiation protection advice to clients
- Prepare and review risk assessments, procedures, and technical documentation
- Conduct onshore and offshore audits, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery
- Deliver radiation protection training courses
- Mentor trainee RPAs working toward RPA2000 certification
- Share insight and best practice across projects and sectors

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
