Radiographer – MRI (Bank)
Location: Bath Clinic
Contract Type: Bank Shifts (as and when required)
About the Role
Bath Clinic, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking an experienced Radiographer (MRI) to join their Imaging department on a bank basis. This role involves supplementing staffing during peak periods and covering absence or annual leave across a range of diagnostic radiographic procedures.
Responsibilities
To perform diagnostic MRI (and potentially broader imaging) tasks with excellence and professionalism:
- Conduct a variety of advanced imaging procedures, including general X-rays, fluoroscopy, theatre radiography, mobiles, and specialist MRI techniques
- Ensure high-quality diagnostic images, reducing repeat exposures where possible
- Adapt techniques for diverse patient types, including paediatrics, bariatrics, and low-mobility individuals
- Deliver patient-centred care, ensuring dignity, comfort, and reassurance throughout examinations
- Safely monitor patients during procedures and respond promptly to any clinical concerns
- Maintain, test, and report faults for imaging equipment and systems
- Assist with the introduction of new PACS/RIS technologies and Digital Imaging workflows
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, porters, and admin teams to optimise patient flow and care coordination

Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent) qualificaction
- HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer
- Practical experience in MRI, general radiography, and related equipment
- Strong understanding of:
- IR(ME)R legislation
- Health and safety protocols
- Infection control
- Safe and ethical handling of patient records/confidentiality (GDPR compliance)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to patient advocacy
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Salary & Contract Details
- Competitive hourly rate: Up to £30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
- Bank shifts: “As and when required” – flexible and on-call availability
- Contract type: Short-term or infrequent basis within Imaging services
