An exciting opportunity is available for the right candidate to come and support our Radiology team in delivering excellent patient-centred care. The post holder will undertake reception duties and assist the Radiographers as they require. The hours equate to 19.25 hours per week. Shifts are over a 7 day period: Monday-Sunday 16:30-00:00 and Sat/Sun/BH 9:30-16:30.
This role is pivotal in the smooth running of the Radiology out-of-hours service. It offers a pressurised environment at the forefront of acute patient journeys and your impact can help shape the patient experience and provide your colleagues with meaningful support. The right candidate would be enthusiastic, patient-minded, hard-working, and organised. In return, you will be part of a key service delivery within the hospital with the potential for excellent job satisfaction if you perform the role well.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- To perform administrative and clerical duties for patients attending Radiology.
- To work as part of the weekend and evening team during the hours of 9:00am – 4:30pm and 4:30pm-midnight across 7 days. Some daytime weekday working may be required to facilitate training.
- To assist the Radiographers during patient examinations in the Radiology Department working within the scope of department procedures and practices.
- To be responsible for the care and comfort of the patient whilst in the Department.
