Role Overview

Experience Radiology Department Assistant in a highly rated healthcare environment.

Location: The London Bridge Hospital & The Shard Outpatients, London Bridge Hospital Campus (Central London)

Hours:

  • Full time (37.5 hours/week)
  • Rotational shifts: 7.5-hour blocks between 08:00 – 20:00

About the Role

As a Radiology Department Assistant, you’ll work across women’s health, breast, gynaecology, and general ultrasound clinics, supporting:

  • Consultants, Radiographers, and Nurses during examinations/procedures
  • Patients (preparation, support, appointment management via Meditech)
  • PACS (digital imaging) and administration tasks
  • A dynamic, rotation-based environment requiring adaptability and teamwork

What You’ll Bring

  • Essential:
    • Prior experience as a Radiology Department Assistant in a hospital setting
    • Ultrasound experience (specialisation in women’s health/breast imaging preferred)
    • NVQ Level 3, Care Certificate, or equivalent healthcare qualification
    • Hands-on IT skills, with experience using:
      • Clinical systems
      • Patient administration tools
    • Outstanding communication skills with a patient-first mindset
    • Ability to organise across clinics in a medical/contrasting dynamic
