Service Technician – Radiotherapy Physics (Coventry)
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable service technician to join our Radiotherapy Physics team at Coventry. The successful candidate must have practical experience in electronic or electrical engineering, though direct experience with radiotherapy equipment is not required.
Full in-house and manufacturer training will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills for our state-of-the-art equipment.
You will be part of a team of specialist engineers, led by our Technical Manager, supporting the Arden Cancer Centre (ACC). Located on the University Hospital site at Walsgrave, this role offers convenient access to Coventry, rural Warwickshire, and major motorways (M6, M69).

Key Responsibilities
- Repair, maintenance, and development of medical linear accelerators and associated equipment.
- Fault-finding and repair of complex electronic systems.
- Compliance with health and safety regulations in a healthcare environment.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or comparable role in healthcare, industry, or the Armed Forces.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and troubleshoot complex electronic faults.
- Relevant degree or technical qualification preferred but not mandatory (additional experience may be considered).
- Experience in radiotherapy, linear accelerators, or similar medical/diagnostic equipment is desirable but not required.
- Immunisation and vaccination report required (must provide proof from either NHS occupational health or GP).
Applicants with less experience may be considered for a lower pay band initially.
