About Analyse Local

Analyse Local is a specialist GovTech business working with Local Authorities across England to help Business Rates, Council Tax, and Revenues teams identify income, improve data quality, and make better-informed decisions. We support more than 180 Local Authorities through data-led services, consultancy, and deep sector expertise, with a strong focus on accuracy and measurable value for the public sector.

Our mission is to support fairness in commercial property Business Rates and help Local Authorities maximize the collection of income that funds vital local services. As we continue to grow, we are investing in scalable delivery, stronger operational processes, and better use of data, automation, and insight.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Rating Analyst to join our Income Maximisation team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed research, problem-solving, and using data to identify opportunities that deliver measurable value for Local Authorities.

Working closely with Rating Managers, Analysts, and Client Managers, you will research commercial property information from a variety of internal and external sources to identify missing and undervalued properties that may impact Business Rates revenue. You will play an important role in ensuring data accuracy, maintaining robust records, and helping Local Authorities maximize income through high-quality referrals.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining research, analysis, and technology to make a genuine impact within the public sector, while developing specialist knowledge in Business Rates, property data, and income maximisation.

Key Priorities

  • Identify high-quality rating opportunities through detailed property research and analysis.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and well-documented data within internal systems.
  • Ensure referrals meet required quality standards and compliance requirements.
  • Work efficiently to achieve personal and team performance targets while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Support continuous improvement of processes, systems, and methodologies.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Property Research and Analysis

  • Research and analyse commercial property data using a range of internal and external sources.
  • Identify potential missing and undervalued hereditaments that meet referral criteria.
  • Evaluate available evidence and determine whether opportunities should be progressed.
  • Compare and validate findings against existing datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintain clear records of research activity and supporting evidence.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
