Senior Surveyor / Associate – Rating (London)
Are you an experienced Rating professional ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a driven Senior Surveyor or Associate to join a high-performing Rating team in London, offering the chance to play a key role in its continued growth and success.
The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a diverse client base including landlords, occupiers, investors, and developers. You’ll deliver expert rating advice across a wide range of property types while building your own client relationships and contributing to business development.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver tailored appeal and mitigation strategies for a variety of clients and property sectors
- Manage and expand your own client portfolio, building strong professional relationships
- Provide rating advice across the property lifecycle, including:
- Challenging assessments through the CCA process
- Advice on empty rates, payments, and completion notices
- Collaborate across teams (Agency, Investment, Development) to identify opportunities and promote services
- Represent clients in Valuation Tribunal proceedings (and ideally Upper Tribunal)

What We’re Looking For
- MRICS qualified with strong Rating experience
- Proven track record in appeals and negotiations
- In-depth knowledge of rating legislation and case law
- Confident in inspections, reporting, and tribunal representation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commercially aware with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Competent with Microsoft Office and Rating software
