About the Role
Wakefield Operations is a flagship manufacturing site and a powerhouse within the network, producing a significant proportion of GB’s volume across multiple high-speed production lines. It is one of the largest soft drink facilities in Europe, combining scale, pace and innovation in a truly dynamic environment.
With a workforce of over 550 colleagues across Manufacturing, Engineering and QESH, the site offers a collaborative and high-performing culture where continuous improvement is embedded into everyday work. What to Expect
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of raw materials to production. You will play a key role in maintaining operational continuity, driving standards and delivering performance in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
Your focus will include:
- Leading and embedding a strong safety-first culture
- Developing, coaching and engaging a team to consistently deliver high standards
- Ensuring reliable supply of raw materials to production through effective planning and control
- Taking ownership of stock accuracy, storage profiles and system integrity
- Driving improvements in waste control, yield and overall efficiency
- Embedding operational excellence routines and supporting progression through OE accreditation levels
- Delivering and maintaining GMP standards across all activities

You will also build strong relationships across the business, working closely with scheduling, material supply and QESH teams to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.
Skills & Essentials
We are looking for a confident and proactive leader who thrives in a high-energy environment and is motivated to drive performance and develop people.
Key requirements include:
- Demonstrable leadership experience within a manufacturing or operational setting
- Strong decision-making capability and the ability to perform under pressure
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a genuine drive to learn and improve
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively and make sound judgements
- Experience or awareness of stock control, materials management or supply processes
- Knowledge of SAP or similar systems would be beneficial, but not essential
