Raw Materials Technologist

Location: The Pizza Factory, Nottingham
Shifts: Onsite Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
Salary: Highly Competitive + Discounts + Pension

About the Role

We are looking for a Raw Materials Technologist to join our technical team at The Pizza Factory and take responsibility for managing and maintaining raw material specifications and supplier documentation. You will be working as part of a team with management responsibilities of 2 x direct reports.

You will ensure that all raw materials used on site are fully approved, compliant, and accurately recorded, supporting safe and consistent production across the two sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, compliant raw material specifications and technical documentation
  • Support the supplier and raw material approval process, including risk assessments and document reviews
  • Ensure raw material data meets food safety, allergen, legal, and customer requirements
  • Liaise with internal teams to communicate raw material changes and resolve technical queries
  • Keep documentation organised and audit-ready, supporting internal and external audits

About You

You will have experience within food manufacturing, in a raw materials-focused role, and bring a highly organised, detail-oriented approach to your work. You are comfortable working with data, specifications, and retailer systems, and confident liaising with both internal teams and external suppliers.

Key Skills / Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role with understanding of ingredient compliance, traceability and supplier documentation
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with technical systems
  • Excellent attention to detail is essential
  • Food Safety and HACCP Level 3 minimum
  • Experience in sectors such as ready meals, pizza, bakery, or other ready-to-eat savoury products is preferred
