What is the opportunity?
You will be supporting the National Charity Team at RBC Brewin Dolphin, which manages approximately £4 billion of funds under management for charity and not-for-profit clients across the UK.
This role, reporting directly to the Head of Business Development for Charities & Philanthropy, involves driving growth within the charity sector. Familiarise prospective clients with business opportunities, foster relationships with existing clients, and carry out creative, high-impact business development initiatives.

This is a permanent, full-time role requiring 4 days in-office attendance at our London location.
What will you do?
- Plan and execute charity team events such as industry conferences, seminars, and webinars, liaising with partners and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics and delivery
- Create and oversee marketing materials, including:
- Event invitations
- Charity brochures
- Independent articles
- Website content
- The annual Charity Perspective Magazine, in collaboration with marketing and compliance teams
- Manage the RBC Brewin Dolphin Charities LinkedIn page, including drafting engaging posts, monitoring engagement metrics, and driving page growth
- Ensure alignment with brand consistency while coordinating compliance reviews to meet regulatory requirements
- Oversee data management of new leads from mailing lists and events:
- Ensure GDPR compliance
- Facilitate an accurate handover to local teams
- Support sales activities:
- Draft investment proposals and presentation packs for prospective charity clients
- Manage the charity inbox and respond to enquiries promptly
- Represent the team at industry events and coordinate with speakers and attendees to deliver successful webinars

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clarify complex ideas
- Relevant experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to influence successful outcomes
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong organisational skills, demonstrating attention to detail while managing multiple simultaneous projects
- A proactive, self-motivated approach, with an ability to initiate, think creatively, and take strategic action
Nice-to-have:
- A background or a degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing & Communications, or Brand Management
- Familiarity with basic marketing techniques, frameworks, and tools such as Momentum or Wrike
- A demonstrated interest in charitable organisations or volunteering experience
