Job Opportunity: Charity Investment Development Manager

You will be supporting the National Charity Team at RBC Brewin Dolphin, managing £4 billion of funds under management for charity and not-for-profit clients across the UK. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development for Charities & Philanthropy, this role drives the expansion of the charity investment business through prospecting new clients, retaining existing relationships, and delivering high-impact business development activities.


What You’ll Do

  • Event Coordination

    • Plan and execute charity team events (industry conferences, seminars, webinars), liaising with partners and internal teams for seamless delivery.
  • Marketing & Content Creation

    • Create and oversee marketing materials like event invites, the Charity Brochure, articles, website content, and the annual Charity Perspective Magazine (collaborating with marketing and compliance teams).
  • Social Media Management

    • Manage the RBC Brewin Dolphin Charities LinkedIn page, drafting posts, monitoring metrics, and growing the audience.
  • Brand & Compliance

    • Ensure all charity team collateral reflects brand consistency and aligns with regulatory compliance reviews.

  • Data Management

    • Oversee GDPR-compliant management of new leads from mailing lists and events, facilitating handover to local teams.
  • Sales Support

    • Draft investment proposals and presentation packs for prospective clients. Manage inbox responses with timely follow-ups.
  • Industry Representation

    • Attend events as a team representative and coordinate speakers/attendees for successful webinars.

What You Need to Succeed

Must-Have

  • Exceptional written/verbal communication with a clear ability to simplify complex ideas.
  • Proven collaborative skills to influence outcomes across diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and creative problem-solver.

Nice-to-Have

  • Background or education in Finance, Economics, Business, Marketing/Comms, or Brand Management.
  • Familiarity with marketing tools (e.g., Momentum, Wrike).
  • Interest/involvement with charities or volunteering experience.
