RBC Brewin Dolphin – Governance Oversight Analytics Manager

Governance Oversight Analytics Manager (Wealth Advice and Governance, London Office)


What is the Opportunity?

Join the Wealth Advice and Governance department as a Governance Oversight Analytics Manager on a permanent basis in our London office.

You will enhance first-line compliance monitoring across Wealth Management Europe with a focus on:

  • Proactive risk analysis
  • Desk-based monitoring
  • Control assessments of RBC Brewin Dolphin’s Front Office client advice and trading activities
  • Utilisation of key control metrics and business MI to identify risks and recommend proportionate remediation (training, process, or control improvements)

Office requirement: 4 days per week in London.


What Will You Do?

  • Driving cultural change: Support the Governance & Wealth Councils and champion a data-aware culture across the business.
  • Analytical leadership:
    • Own delivery of function reporting, contributing to regular MI on operational activity, findings, trends, and regulatory issues.
    • Identify dashboard improvements, enhancing PowerBI and team reports to adapt to evolving needs.
    • Maintain data integrity in line with policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring & exception handling:
    • Conduct individual reviews/drill-down monitoring, escalating findings or breaches as necessary.
    • Perform trend analysis using business dashboards to spotlight themes/issues for deeper investigation.
  • Framework development:
    • Test and refine control frameworks, policies, and procedures.
    • Collaborate with managers to develop new monitoring reports and support monthly control reviews.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

Must-Have:

✔ Front Office experience in wealth management or banking. ✔ Ability to interpret regulations and recommend proportionate processes/controls. ✔ Advanced Excel skills, experience with Management Information (MI) reporting tools. ✔ Proficiency in PowerBI or a similar data visualisation tool. ✔ Capacity to integrate AI to boost efficiency/productivity. ✔ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented mindset. ✔ Exceptional written/verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Risk/Compliance certification (e.g., CERT, FRM, CISI).
  • Industry qualifications, such as:
    • Level 4 Diploma in Investment Advice
    • Financial Planning credentials
    • Compliance or Risk certifications
