Senior Paraplanner – Edinburgh Office (Full-Time)
What is the Opportunity?
We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join our Edinburgh office on a permanent basis. As a Paraplanner, you will provide technical expertise in financial planning solutions, supporting wealth managers and clients with tailored advice.
Ideal for someone who:

- Actively supports senior colleagues for efficient, high-standard task completion
Flexibility: Three days in-office, with up to one remote work day per week (depending on arrangements).
What Will You Do?
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing detailed financial plans, suitability reports, and recommendation documents for Wealth Managers.
- Supporting in client consultation, from new client meetings to annual reviews.
- Conducting research & analysis on:
- Investments
- Pensions & protection strategies
- Tax planning optimisations
- Reviewing client portfolios against risk tolerance, objectives, and regulatory compliance.
- Liaising with:
- Wealth Managers
- Back-office Administrators
- Product providers
- Maintaining accuracy & up-to-date records, refining advice processes.

Must-Have
✅ Qualification: Either:
- Attained CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or
- Equivalent recognised industry certification ⚠ Ideal (but not mandatory): Progressing towards CII Level 6 Diploma
✅ Experience: Previous Paraplanner role
✅ Technical Knowledge:
- Core financial planning principles
- Tax planning mechanisms (e.g. wrappers, reliefs)
- Pension & protection structures
- Investment strategies
✅ Soft Skills:
- Concentration on detail (comparative analysis, proofreading)
- Strong communication (collaborating with advisors and clients)
- Confidence in regulatory compliance (FCA, pension rules)
✅ Technical:
- Proficient in financial planning software (advisory platforms)
✅ Workstyle:
- Self-motivated (managing multiple deadlines)
- Able to adjust priorities in a fast-paced business
Nice-to-Have
🇷 Certification: Already hold the CII Level 6 Diploma
