About the role

This position is an FTC with the opportunity to go permanent.

This is a fast paced and dynamic role to assist and drive implementing assigned delivery projects and initiatives from proof of principle feasibility to successful launch into market. In this role ownership, agility to learn and a strong scientific background is strongly required.

Your responsibilities

  • Take ownership of R&D projects, ensuring timely execution of formulation/device feasibility, validation, stability testing, industrial trials, and dossier preparation in line with internal, external, and market requirements
  • Collaborate effectively with Marketing, Supply, and cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives
  • Apply basic laboratory techniques and maintain hands-on bench competence
  • Understand and follow the Product Development Process within the team
  • Adhere to SOP/GLP standards, including safe operation and maintenance of lab equipment, accurate documentation, and high standards of safety and housekeeping
  • Ensure all activities comply with legislative, Health & Safety, and environmental requirements, promoting laboratory best practices
  • Support the development and implementation of NPDs/EPDs under supervision, including sample preparation, testing (performance and stability), claim support, and cost-saving initiatives
  • Work with line manager to set and progress personal career development objectives

The experience we're looking for

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Good formulation knowledge with understanding of chemical interactions
  • Ability to analyse and interpret laboratory data, including statistical evaluation of results
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, assess, and communicate risks
  • Effective interpersonal, negotiation, and networking skills to build strong working relationships
  • Strong analytical mindset with intellectual curiosity and willingness to explore new ideas
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with confident presentation ability
