R&D Coordinator
Location: Windmill Lane
About The Role
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated R&D Coordinator to support our R&D Manager and Development Chefs in delivering innovative food solutions to market. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you will play a key part in:
- Managing projects
- Coordinating cross-functional activity
- Ensuring best-in-class documentation and processes
You’ll be central to driving products from concept through to launch, helping us deliver excellence for our customers and supporting continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Market & Consumer Awareness
- Monitor food, restaurant, and consumer trends, sharing insights with the development team
- Support the planning of customer and team inspiration sessions
Project Management & Coordination
- Support senior R&D leaders with presentations and business requirements
- Manage and track projects through the Concept to Launch Gate process
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Commercial, Category, Technical, Regulatory)
- Ensure submission paperwork is complete and accurate
- Maintain combined onsite R&D project trackers, ensuring information is accurate, up-to-date, and submitted on time
- Distribute launch packs

Customer Support
- Coordinate benchmarking activities and analyse competing products across retailers
- Support chefs with customer documentation, presentations, and submission panels
- Maintain New Product Development (NPD) trackers and generate contact reports following customer meetings
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams and customers
Functional Excellence
- Assist with requisitions and purchase order creation via SAP
- Maintain weekly tracking documents across R&D and wider leadership teams
Skills & Experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- Proven project management experience
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative
- Previous experience in an R&D or food-related environment (desirable)

Qualifications
- Relevant food industry qualifications or equivalent experience (essential)
- Degree in Food, Marketing, Business or related field (desirable)
