R&D Technician
Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: £28,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience)
Term: Permanent
SRG are working with a well-established manufacturer of specialty chemical products for the polymer industry who have been consistently growing for a number of years. They are now seeking to hire an R&D Technician at their site based in Greater Manchester. This role will be a laboratory based and hands-on role that will include developing both new and existing polymer-based products. A range of experience will be considered and so will prove an excellent opportunity for candidates with proven industrial experience of developing industrial chemical products, as well as recent Chemistry graduates that may have an industrial placement year.

Role / Description
- Supporting in the development of both new and existing products.
- Potentially liaising directly with customers & clients to provide technical support.
- Conduct application & stability testing of new and existing products using a range of techniques.
- Remain up to date with current developments in the market.
- General maintenance of laboratory areas and equipment.
Requirements
- A degree or similar qualification in Chemistry or a related field
- Proven industrial experience of developing industrial chemical products (ideally polymer-based)
- Recent Chemistry graduates with an industrial placement year are encouraged to apply
- Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
- Well organized with good time management skills
- Enthusiastic, keen to learn and self-motivated
