🎯 Context
As part of its continued product development activities, our client is looking for an R&D Technician to join its engineering team.
This position has become available following a retirement and represents an excellent opportunity to join a stable, hands-on and innovative business where products are designed, tested and improved close to the workshop and production environment.
Reporting to the R&D Technical Manager, you will support the development, testing, validation and troubleshooting of new electronic products, including batteries and power solutions used by professionals across the world.
🔧 The Role
As an R&D Technician, your mission will be to provide practical and technical support to the R&D team, helping to test, validate, troubleshoot and improve new products from development through to production support.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with electronic products, solving technical issues and contributing directly to product development in a workshop-based environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out tests and validation activities on new products, including batteries and electronic products.
- Support the R&D team during prototype testing, product development and technical investigations.
- Perform electronic troubleshooting and help identify the root cause of technical issues.
- Assist with practical workshop activities linked to product development and improvement.
- Support production teams when technical input or troubleshooting is required.
- Help ensure products meet expected quality, performance and reliability standards.
- Work closely with engineers, production and other internal teams to support smooth product development and introduction.
- Contribute to a practical, collaborative and solution-oriented engineering culture.
👤 Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
- A technical qualification in electronics, electrical engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in electronic testing, validation, troubleshooting or production support would be a strong advantage.
- Experience working with batteries, power products or electronic assemblies would be appreciated.
Technical Skills
- Good practical understanding of electronics.
- Ability to carry out testing and validation activities.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electronic issues.
- Comfortable working in a workshop or production-related environment.
- Hands-on mindset and willingness to support practical engineering activities.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and work with attention to detail.
