R&D Technician
Location: Knutsford, Parkgate Industrial Estate
Working Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5:00pm (40 hours per week)
A fantastic opportunity has opened for an R&D Technician to strengthen our team in Knutsford. Whether you're an experienced Mechanical Technician with a machine shop background or a motivated Engineering Graduate seeking hands-on R&D experience, we welcome your application.

What You’ll Be Doing
As an R&D Technician, you’ll play a vital role in the assembly, inspection, and testing of prototype valves according to industry and client specifications. Key responsibilities include:

- Inspection: Detailed inspection of components to ensure they meet drawing requirements.
- Specialised Testing: Conducting hydrostatic, pneumatic, cryogenic, hyperbaric, and fire testing.
- Analysis: Interpreting test procedures and accurately recording results.
- Prototyping: Assembling and testing new valve designs following Engineering Procedures.
- Maintenance: Developing and maintaining R&D test equipment.
- Problem-Solving: Undertaking component inspections and resolving shop-floor remedial work.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on professional who blends technical precision in valve testing and assembly with a strong analytical mindset to drive innovation in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates should have:
- Practical, hands-on engineering tool skills
- A "can do" attitude
- Exceptional attention to detail
- A basic understanding of Microsoft Office
- Strong numeracy, literacy, and communication skills
- Team player mentality, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
