Reablement Care Assistant Opportunities

The working hours are between 10 and 31.5 per week

Alternate weekends

We are seeking caring, compassionate, and motivated individuals to join our established professional care team. Successful applicants will be employed by Plymouth City Council on a competitive starting salary of £26,824 per annum (pro-rata).

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and accurately record health and wellbeing information.
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
  • An understanding of the need for dignity, respect, and sensitivity when supporting vulnerable or older individuals.
  • The ability to motivate and engage people, including those with challenging behaviours or terminal illness.

You will also need to meet some physical requirements, such as providing personal care with respect and dignity. Full training, including manual handling, will be provided.

Essential Requirements

  • A good range of maths and English skills
  • Willingness to work towards a Level 2 Health and Social Care Diploma.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development in line with National Care Quality Standards and Plymouth City Council’s training plan.
