Could you help someone regain their confidence and independence?

At Norfolk First Response, we’re looking for caring individuals—with or without prior experience—to support clients in reclaiming their independence. Our reablement approach emphasises retraining skills and rebuilding confidence, with a structured programme of up to 6 weeks.

We provide full training, focusing on home-based support where individuals can learn or relearn essential life skills for self-sufficiency. Typical tasks may include:

  • Personal care assistance
  • Medication administration
  • Supervising transfers and mobility
  • Monitoring nutritional and hydration needs

Applied to East Norfolk, your role will blend flexibility with meaningful impact. We’re particularly eager to hear from you if you have a caring nature, are empathetic, and want to create real change—no prior experience is required.


What the Role Involves

As a Reablement Support Worker, you’ll spend time in clients’ homes, helping them regain independence through practical support and encouragement. This could mean:

  • Adapting everyday tasks to build confidence and capability
  • Offering short-term, targeted assistance also known as rehabilitation.StartsOnSignIn to regain removed skills
  • Working within a collaborative team to set achievable goals and track progress

What We’re Looking For

  • A caring, empathetic, and resilient individual with a genuine desire to help people
  • A full driving licence and reliable access to a vehicle (some work involves visiting clients’ homes in East Norfolk)
  • Willingness to engage fully in training (we’ll cover Care Certificate costs)

Ideally, you’ll thrive in a supportive team environment and approach each client with patience and warmth. No prior experience in social care is necessary.


Our Working Arrangement

We offer part-time hours, with rotating schedules to support a healthy work-life balance. You can expect:

  • Morning shifts: 7:30 AM–2:00 PM or 8:00 AM–2:30 PM
  • Evening shifts: 4:30 PM–9:00 PM or 5:00 PM–10:00 PM Hours average over two weeks, allowing flexibility for personal commitments.

During the interview, we’ll discuss your preferred hours to ensure a strong fit for both you and the team.
