Reablement Workers – Competitive Pay: £13.80–£14.30 per Hour
Location: 26 The Strand, South Devon
About the Role
Altogether Care, a trusted family-run care company, is expanding its Reablement Care Workers team across South Devon. We’re seeking energetic, compassionate professionals—whether you’re new to social care or an experienced advocate—to empower clients to regain independence and confidence in their own homes.
As a Reablement Worker, your role is to enable, not depend. You’ll collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to support individuals in relearning daily skills, fostering confidence, and living as independently as possible.

What We’re Looking For
- A caring, proactive attitude with genuine enthusiasm for supporting others.
- Ability to drive and work flexibly in clients’ homes across the community.
- A genuine passion for empowering individuals to make independent choices.
- Experience in care/support work is beneficial but not essential—full training provided.
Key Responsibilities
As a Reablement Worker, you will:
- Collaborate with clients to set meaningful, personalised goals and map out the steps to achieve them.
- Support skill development—personal care, household tasks, confidence-building—to maximise independence.
- Provide physical and emotional support, encouraging participation in daily life with choice, dignity, and control.
- Monitor progress and report when clients reach self-sufficiency and transition to alternative care.
- Act promptly on safeguarding concerns in line with company policies.
- Build trusting relationships with clients, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Maintain accurate digital records via mobile technology to ensure high-quality service.
- Explain care actions to clients (e.g., updating mobile app notes).
- Adhere to safety standards and uphold company values in all practices.
