π The Opportunity
We're partnering with a leading buy-side investment firm that is looking to hire a React Engineer to build the next generation of front-end applications supporting trading, pricing, and quantitative research.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the intersection of modern web technologies and quantitative finance, developing high-performance, data-intensive applications that power real-time decision-making across global markets. You'll collaborate closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and software engineers to deliver intuitive, mission-critical platforms used every day.
π§ What You'll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance front-end applications using React and modern JavaScript technologies.
- Build intuitive, data-rich user interfaces for trading, analytics, and pricing platforms.
- Integrate front-end applications with real-time market data and backend services.
- Collaborate with engineers, quantitative researchers, traders, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions.
- Drive improvements in UI architecture, application performance, and overall user experience.

β What We're Looking For

- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another STEM-related discipline.
- 1+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong commercial experience with React and modern front-end development.
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, UI architecture, and web application performance.
- Experience with Agile development, Git, and CI/CD practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
β Nice to Have
- Experience with Python or other backend technologies.
- Exposure to financial markets, trading systems, or data-intensive applications.
- Experience building real-time data visualisation or analytics platforms.
