Mr Who?
MrQ - we're an awesome, award-winning online casino launched in 2018. We're big on tech, big on performance, and most of all - big on fun. Over the years, we have experienced explosive growth - which means we need more rock stars to join our quest for total world domination.
As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a React Native Architect to play a key role in shaping and evolving our mobile platform.
This is not just a feature-delivery role — this is a high-impact engineering position where you will own critical parts of our mobile architecture, solve complex performance and scalability challenges, and help define how we build mobile applications at MrQ.
What You Will Do
- Own and drive the architecture, design, and development of our cross-platform mobile applications (iOS & Android) using React Native.
- Take responsibility for key areas of the mobile platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
- Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver complex user journeys (e.g. wallets, bonuses, onboarding, KYC flows).
- Optimise application performance, responsiveness, and stability across a wide range of devices.
- Build and maintain robust integrations with backend systems and third-party services.
- Lead technical decision-making, balancing speed of delivery with long-term quality and scalability.
- Contribute to and evolve mobile architecture, patterns, and best practices across the team.
- Mentor and support other engineers, raising the overall technical bar.
- Improve development processes, testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Debug and resolve complex production issues, including performance bottlenecks and race conditions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
