About The Role
Hargreaves Lansdown is seeking a highly skilled Senior React Native Developer to join our dynamic technology team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the development and optimization of our mobile applications across the HL platform. Your expertise will enable you to architect secure, scalable, and high-performance React Native solutions that enhance the user experience and support our business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, backend developers, and QA specialists to deliver innovative mobile solutions. This position offers a hybrid working model, with 2-3 days in our London office and flexible remote work options, providing a balanced environment for collaboration and independent work.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mobile application development, particularly with React Native. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining React Native applications is essential, ideally with a portfolio of successful projects. Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern mobile development practices is required. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and mobile app security best practices is also important. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment are key qualities for this role. Prior experience mentoring junior developers and leading code reviews will be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities
As a Senior React Native Developer at Hargreaves Lansdown, your core responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing innovative mobile application features that align with business goals.
- Developing clean, efficient, and maintainable code while ensuring the security and scalability of the applications.
- Collaborating with product managers and designers, translating requirements into technical solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Conducting code reviews and providing mentorship to junior developers.
- Staying current with the latest trends and advancements in React Native and mobile technologies, integrating best practices into your work.
- Participating in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and testing to ensure the reliability and robustness of our mobile platforms.
- Contributing to technical documentation and supporting deployment and release processes.
