Lead a Major Mobile Transformation
Our client is looking for an experienced React Native Lead Engineer to play a pivotal role in the complete replatforming of a high-profile consumer mobile application. This is a unique opportunity to lead the technical strategy, architecture, and delivery of a modern mobile platform while helping establish a long-term app engineering function within a growing technology organisation.
You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, engineering teams, and platform leaders to drive a large-scale transformation from a legacy mobile platform to a modern React Native ecosystem.
What You'll Be Doing
As the React Native Lead Engineer, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end replatforming of a consumer mobile application to React Native.
- Define and execute a clear migration roadmap with measurable milestones and risk management strategies.
- Shape architecture decisions and provide strategic technology recommendations to senior leadership.
- Establish engineering governance covering architecture, security, quality standards, release management, and technical decision-making.
- Build and mature a sustainable mobile engineering function, including standards, operating models, and delivery practices.
- Drive seamless migration from the existing platform to the target-state mobile architecture with minimal customer disruption.
- Collaborate across Product, Design, QA, Platform, and Backend teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Champion mobile excellence across performance, reliability, accessibility, observability, and security.
- Enhance engineering productivity through CI/CD, automated testing, and robust release processes.
- Provide clear, concise reporting to leadership on progress, risks, and key technical decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
