About The Role
Reactive Access Planner – Balfour Beatty – Connect Plus Services (CPS)
Location: Dartford, Leatherhead or South Mimms
We have an exciting opportunity for a Reactive Access Planner to join our Connect Plus Services (CPS) team, supporting the M25 London Orbital Motorway project.
CPS is a joint venture between Balfour Beatty, Atkins and Egis, responsible for operating and maintaining the M25—Europe’s busiest motorway. Delivering over £100m of annual investment, alongside planned and reactive maintenance, this is a complex and high-profile network requiring robust and efficient planning.

What you'll be doing
As a Reactive Access Planner, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and planning safe, efficient access to the network, ensuring works are delivered in line with programme requirements and operational constraints.
Key responsibilities
- Planning and coordinating access for reactive works across the network
- Liaising with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to agree access arrangements
- Ensuring all access requests meet safety and compliance standards
- Managing changes to plans and responding quickly to operational challenges
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of access
Who we're looking for
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a planning, scheduling or access planning role (utilities, rail or highways desirable)
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Good understanding of health & safety requirements in a live operational environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to reactive demands
- Experience with stakeholder engagement, particularly local authorities or similar organisations.

Connect Plus Services (CPS) brings together the collective strength of our parent companies - Balfour Beatty, Atkins and Egis Road Operation UK. With around 600 people, based at eight locations across the M25 network, we work on behalf of Connect Plus and National Highways to manage the operation of the M25 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, from routine maintenance to managing the whole-life requirement of thousands of assets across the network.
