Real Estate Agent - Pubs & Restaurants Sector
About Us We are the leading specialist advisor for buying and selling businesses in our sectors - convenience retail, leisure, medical, pubs, restaurants, childcare, healthcare, and hotels. With 90 years of experience, we offer professional brokerage, valuation and advisory services, through our UK wide team. We pride ourselves in our high standards, providing a client centric experience and building business around our clients through tailoring our services.
Purpose of the Role We are looking for an experienced property or business agent to join our Pubs & Restaurants team, based in our Birmingham office.
This role will focus on the West Midlands, with responsibility for sourcing, marketing, and transacting pubs and restaurant businesses and property. You will be responsible for generating new business, winning instructions, and managing sales through to completion. As a key client-facing representative, you will build and maintain relationships with vendors and buyers, acting as the main point of contact throughout the sales process. You will also identify, engage, and qualify potential purchasers, ensuring a high level of service is delivered at all stages.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to develop their career within a specialist and competitive sector.
About the team Our dedicated pubs and restaurants team, which operates across 11 UK offices and represents the largest specialist hospitality advisory group in the country, continues to support clients with unrivalled local market knowledge and national sector insight. Despite substantial cost pressures throughout 2025, transaction activity in the pubs and restaurants sector remained resilient. Across the year, our team advised on, valued, or sold more than 5,000 properties, with an aggregate value of £7.5 billion, with freehold restaurant sales alone accounting for 44% of all restaurant transactions, exceeding £12 million in value.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
