The Southampton office collaborates with our London and Manchester teams, providing a broad and deep real estate capability across the sector. With strong inter-office collaboration, matters are seamlessly resourced between our three UK locations, drawing on diverse practices and skills.

- Providing support to real estate lawyers on a wide range of commercial property transactions
- Assisting with drafting documents (subject to relevant training), including:
- Replies to pre-contract enquiries
- Licences to alter
- 1954 Act paperwork
- Licences to occupy
- Tenancies at will and short-term leases
- With experience, you will be expected to run these types of transactions with increasing independence
- Handling post-completion formalities, such as SDLT and Land Registry applications (or delegating these tasks as appropriate)
- Organising and operating data sites for transactions and deeds management
- Supporting discrete tasks across the real estate team, including:
- Dealing with real estate conditions precedent on financing transactions
- Assisting with searches and title queries, including using Orbital Witness, and starting to review search results to populate title reports
- Supporting client relationship initiatives with value-added reporting

- Strong IT skills
- Determined to complete work to the highest quality, with precision and attention to detail
- Calm under pressure
- Ability to turn work around quickly and work outside standard hours when necessary
