UK Real Estate Project Manager (12-Month FTC)
Location: Templecombe or Cheadle (Travel required to both sites)
Join us as a UK Real Estate Project Manager and play an impactful role in shaping the future of our Under Water Systems (UWS) sites. This is a hands-on, collaborative position where you’ll work as part of an integrated project team, supporting major programmes and bid work packages across our Cheadle and Templecombe sites.
You’ll help bring the Group Real Estate strategy to life by enhancing and optimising the sites within your remit. You’ll ensure the right tools, processes and governance are in place so projects run smoothly, consistently and in full alignment with Chorus II and Thales standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver capital projects across the Glasgow site and support MOD/business-funded construction activity as part of a supportive, cross-functional team.
- Implement the Group Real Estate strategy by optimising assets and ensuring strong governance, processes and reporting.
- Lead risk, budget and programme management while maintaining a UK-wide risk register and promoting a transparent, “no surprises” culture.
- Support PACE and SSNA bid work packages across Cheadle and Templecombe.
- Manage tendering and compliance from employer requirements through to design and construction tender processes.
- Ensure smooth project handover with full compliance to stakeholder, legislative and contractual requirements.

About You

You’ll bring:
- Experience in capital and construction projects — ideally full RIBA lifecycle, with MOD/defence exposure an advantage.
- Strong project management capability with substantial experience in regulated or manufacturing environments.
- Clear, confident communication and the ability to build positive relationships across teams.
- Skills in risk, budget and programme control with proficiency in project management tools.
- H&S certification (IOSH/NEBOSH) and experience in facilities, installation or commissioning projects.
- Flexibility to travel across UK sites when needed, with a valid driving licence.

Security Clearance Requirement
Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires Security Clearance (SC). It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment.
