Location - Aldgate
Salary - Basic £40,000 - OTE £65,000
Hours – 9am – 6pm
No need to drive
Our client is seeking an ambitious Lettings Manager to lead our residential Lettings business from our Aldgate office and grow our portfolio of landlords and properties.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Central London's most established independent estate agencies and manage a lettings department within a highly regarded brand.
The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting, generating market appraisals and winning instructions to increase market share. They will be expected to deliver exceptional service to landlords and tenants across Aldgate and the surrounding areas.
Their Aldgate office works closely with our neighbouring offices providing excellent cross-selling opportunities and access to one of London's strongest local property networks.
This role would suit an experienced Senior Negotiator, Assistant Manager or Lettings Manager looking to take the next step within a respected independent agency.

The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate:
- Proven experience within residential estate agency, ideally in Central London
- A strong track record of generating market appraisals and winning instructions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of lettings legislation and compliance matters
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Commercial awareness and the ability to identify new business opportunities
- A proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude
- High levels of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities
Growing the Portfolio
- Generate and convert valuation opportunities
- Maintain, build and actively work the company's prospecting database
- Win new instructions while maintaining favourable fee levels
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the local market
- Undertake regular canvassing and market intelligence activities
- Attend local networking events and build relationships within the community
- Work towards agreed instructions and Portfolio Addition targets
Lettings & Landlord Management
- Conduct market appraisals and provide expert advice to landlords
- Carry out viewings and negotiate offers
- Agree lets and oversee transactions through to move-in
- Maintain regular communication with landlords throughout the lettings process
Compliance & Administration
- Ensure all Terms of Business, Anti-Money Laundering checks and compliance requirements are completed
- Maintain accurate records within the Reapit CRM system
- Manage applicant databases and ensure data quality is maintained
- Ensure listings, websites and office displays are accurate and up to date
- Report any potential complaints or issues to a Director at the earliest opportunity

Office & Team Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Directors and HR to train new staff and apprentices to assist with viewings and the lettings process.
- Maintain high standards of presentation within the office
- Ensure company records, forms and internal administration are kept up to date
- Work collaboratively with the sales departments to maximise cross-selling opportunities
- Support a positive and professional office culture
- Work flexible hours when required, including occasional evening appointments
