About the Role

This is an excellent role for a candidate with excellent communication skills and attention to detail who has experience completing complex, high-volume reconciliations and would like to progress their career. You will receive comprehensive training and an opportunity to complete professional qualifications.

Working as part of the UK Collection Team, the Coordinator role acts as a key support interface between:

  • Broker partners
  • Onsite Product Towers
  • Broker teams
  • Offshore (back-office operations)

Your role will support effective collaboration across all parties to help meet financial targets through timely collection of premiums due from clients. You will focus on:

  • Supporting established processes
  • Maintaining strong working relationships
  • Ensuring account handlers maintain allocated accounts to the requisite standard
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage broker accounts to optimise collections performance through:

    • Regular engagement
    • Query resolution
    • Ledger oversight
  • Maintain accurate ledger positions by ensuring effective control of accounts receivable transactions

  • Meet monthly and quarterly targets in line with business goals and objectives

  • Take full ownership of allocated accounts, ensuring:

    • Coding, commentary, and next actions are consistently updated
    • Proactive resolution of account issues to prevent overdue items
  • Support and validate Bad Debt items, contributing to:

    • Reduction
    • Improved ledger accuracy

  • Manage discrepancies (premium, commission, tax, gross differences) through agreed internal processes

  • Monitor cash entries daily, escalating issues to relevant teams as required

  • Collaborate with third-party providers to ensure effective:

    • Cash handling
    • Query management
  • Ensure timely resolution and escalation of queries, maintaining accountability

  • Apply strong controls across cash processing, including validation and rejection of incorrect items

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in:

    • Escalation forums
    • War rooms
    • Project teams

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Credit Control experience (Insurance experience is advantageous)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with people at all levels
  • Proven capability in managing reconciliations involving large, detailed data sets
    • Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including Pivots and detailed data analysis
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
