RECEPTION & HOUSING SUPPORT ADMINISTRATOR

Role Overview

Pay Rate: £12.87 per hour Contract: Temporary until the end of July

We are currently recruiting for a Reception & Housing Support Administrator to join a supported housing project based in Northwich. This position offers an immediate start for the right candidate.

This role is ideal for someone with strong administration and reception experience who is confident, resilient, and capable of providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and welcoming front-of-house and reception service to residents, visitors, colleagues, and members of the public
  • Manage telephone and face-to-face enquiries, ensuring messages are accurately recorded and forwarded to the appropriate person
  • Support service users with:
    • Housing management
    • Flat management
    • Guidance on independent living skills
  • Monitor building security via CCTV and manage visitor access, adhering to procedural policies
  • Maintain effective key management, including issuing, receiving, and handling lost keys
  • Complete a range of administrative duties using both electronic and manual systems
  • Report repairs and assist in preparing flats and rooms for new occupants
  • Respond to incidents involving anti-social behaviour and vandalism in line with company policies
  • Conduct health and safety inspections and perform building patrols to ensure a safe and secure environment
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to:
    • Safeguarding guidelines
    • Data protection policies
    • Complaints procedures
  • Promote equality, diversity, and respectful working practices at all times

Requirements for the Successful Candidate

The right applicant must possess:

  • Previous administration and reception experience
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Confidence, resilience, and professionalism
  • Strong organisational and attention-to-detail skills
  • Good IT proficiency and experience using electronic systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Advantageous (but not essential) experience:

  • Working with homeless individuals
  • Supporting people affected by substance misuse

Essential Requirements: A Standard DBS check is mandatory; however, the employer will assist the candidate with obtaining one if needed.
